June 14, 2019 - Presentation of the novel The Children of War by Varujan Vosganyan

Following the "Whispers Book" - a novel translated in more than 20 languages and honored with many awards in Romania and around the world, "The Children of War" is the second novel by Varoujan Vosganian which comes out in 2016 and wins admiration reviews of critics and readers. The book was presented by the author in the presence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Rep of Armenia in Rep of Bulgaria, Armen Sargsyan, admirers and friends at the Peroto club in Sofia.

Varujan Vosganyan (1958) is one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary Romanian literature and already well known to Bulgarian readers with his novel "The Whispering Book" and the collection of novels "The One-hundred-Year Game and Other Stories."

He spends his childhood and adolescence at Focsani. He graduated the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" High School in Focsani, then the Commercial Faculty of the Academy of Economic Studies and the Faculty of Mathematics of the Bucharest University. He is President of the Armenian Society in Romania and First Vice-President of the Union of Romanian Writers. He is currently a deputy and in the period December 2006 - December 2008 he is Minister of Economy and Finance. He is the author of several poetry collections and two collections of novels.

Following the successful presentation of the book and congratulations from all attendees, on behalf of AGBU Sofia / Parekordzagan /, Mrs Sonia Avakian - Bedrossian, honored chairperson of the organization, in honor of respect and homage, presented a work described the lion of the young artist Lusia Medzikyan and congratulated the author on his upcoming birthday!
