The program of “Jesus Christ in the Words of Persian Poets” with Armenian-Bulgarian music was a blissful time to remember the great poets of Persia and to see Jesus Christ life, personality and teach- ings in the mirror of persian literature and Iranian culture.
The lecture was held in the Union of Bulgarian Journalists hall in presence of Bulgaria’s former Prime Minister, Mrs. Reneta Indjova, Father Dionissiy, Her Excellency Astari Rasjid, ambassador of Indonesia in Bulgaria, officials from Embassy of Azerbaidjan and many guests.
Mr. Nabi Masumi, professor of Persian language and philosopher, presented a very interesting theme. Jesus Christ present in the works of famous Persian poets: Rumi, Hafez, Saadi, Nizami and others.
The lecture started with the beautiful musical pieces of Komitas performed with grace by young Isabel- la Avetissyan, violin and Aleksander Ivanov, piano.
The theme of the lecture was extremely interesting and Nabi Massumi interpreted it with great emotion and feeling . Mr. Masumi mentioned the old and kind relations between Iranians and Armenians living in Iran.
The lecture ended with the beautiful violin and piano pieces by Komitas. As the year is nearing by, Mr. Massumi conveyed a beautiful message of peace and harmony.
Mrs. Snejana Todorova, president of the Bulgarian Journalists Union, congratulated Mr. Massumi for his inspiring thoughts, his wonderful ideas and presentation. She thanked the young musicians and the audience.
On behalf of AGBU Sofia, Mrs. Sonia Avakian-Bedrossian gave to Nabi Massumi a special art work, drawn by the young AGBU Sofia’s member – the painter Lusia Medzikian.
